Refurbishment with relish
New look for McDonald's on the Great Western Way
Through the midst of the doom and gloom of the credit crunch, there is one business that's definitely booming - McDonalds in Swindon.
As as part of an on-going investment in their three local restaurants, the fast food giant has now spent £400,000 improving their Great Western Way outlet.
Based on the new McDonalds' ‘Purely Simple’ theme, the interior has been transformed with a mix of vibrant and natural colours and bold shapes; including leather seats to try and create a more intimate and relaxing customer environment.
The Mayor of Swindon, David Wren, was just one of the guests who was invited to look around the refurbishment - and tuck into a celebratory happy meal.
300 employees
“We hope the re-image demonstrates our commitment to investing in the local community both financially and through the creation of employment opportunities," commented Paul Booth, the Swindon franchisee-owner, who now employs 300 members of staff in Swindon and an additional 100 employees across the region. “My staff and I are delighted with our whole new image; it has given us an up to date feel and we really hope our guests are as pleased with the new surroundings as we are.” |
